After the launch of the UM Motorcycles three models-Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport S and Renegade Classic at the 13th Delhi Auto event. UM Motorcycles initiated the booking for two of its models-Commando and Sport S less than two month after the launch. The brand managed to get booking over 1000 units. The deliveries for that booking will be commenced in June through its network of 25-30 dealerships.
Now company initiated the rebooking of the second phase which will be delivered in August. And it is going to be offered test rides for their 11 new showrooms by this month’s end.
On styling both the bikes carries unique forms as Commando supports the complete retro styling, while Sports S gets the sporty flavour. Mechanically, both the motorcycles boasts an air-cooled 279cc single-cylinder engine that is capable to deliver max power of 25bhp and torque of 21.8Nm and is coupled to a six-speed gearbox to transfer the generated power to the rear wheel. To produce the cost effective offering for the Indian crowd automaker decided to use carburettor in place of a fuel-injection system. The suspension setup comprises USD front forks and conventional twin hydraulic spring suspension to absorb shocks at the rear end. For braking both bikes have disc brake at front and drum brake at rear wheel.
The third and the last of the Renegade Series, Renegade Classic is anticipated to hit the market by the end of this year.
