New Mahindra MPV Spotted Near Nashik plant

A new Mahindra MPV has been manufactured at North American Technical Centre of Mahindra, US, is now ready to introduce in the Indian market. The MPV will be developed in Nasik plant where the Xylo, Thar, Verito, and Bolero are as well manufactured.

The new spotted MPV near Nasik plant will be placed above the Xylo model in ranking considering current line-up of the company and will compete Toyota Innova Crysta MPV in the market. This is a 7/8 seater MPV from Mahindra to rival in the relevant segment of MPV in India.

Latest Mahindra MPV uses the monocoque platform of the flagship XUV500. The spotted image includes details about the exterior appearance mentioning LED DRLs, a black mesh grille, sharp character lines, new fog lamps, projector headlights, blackened housing and chrome accents. You can even notice alloy wheels along with vertically placed tail lamps.

The cabin shot reveals that the MPV will get a 7 and 8 seat arrangement. Further, it obtains new steering wheel design, dual tone finish, touch-controlled infotainment system, AC vents for 3 rows and automatic climate controls. Coming to the safety, it takes ABS with EBD, airbags, rear parking sensors and automatic climate controls.

The Mahindra MPV is expected to get a 1.6-liter petrol engine and a diesel engine which are paired with a six-speed manual converter or a 6-speed automatic converter as an option. There is no information regarding the price till yet, but we expect the new Mahindra MPV to be available at Rs. 9-13 lakhs whereas it will compete against the Renault Lodgy and the Toyota Innova Crysta in the market.
