Updated Honda Jazz Model to be Launched Tomorrow in India

Honda is finally going to launch an updated version of the much talked about hatchback model 'Jazz'. The launch of this new version of Jazz is scheduled for tomorrow, i.e. July, 8. This model is being claimed to be India's second most fuel efficient diesel variant offering a fuel economy of 27.3 Kmpl. A few years back, the previous Jazz model failed to impress the Indian customers. As a result, Honda had to withdraw this model from the Indian market. But this time, the company aims at re-introducing the hatchback with certain updates.

From outside, the Latest Jazz gets a thick black grille surrounded by chrome. The air dam features a honeycomb pattern and headlamps are stretched backwards. It also carries LED taillights, which are newly added in this version.

The cabin of this hatchback gets a black and beige interior and the steering wheel is wrapped in leather mounted with various controls. The hatchback enjoys a keyless ignition and magic seats are offered, which were not found in the earlier Jazz model. Apart from this, an infotainment system with touchscreen facility is also available along with a navigation system and Bluetooth connectivity.

Under the hood, the model gets a 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine producing 100 PS of power and a torque of 200 NM. Customers can also avail the services of a petrol variant powered by 1.2 litre i-VTEC engine offering 90 PS of power and 110 NM of torque. For transmission, there is a six-speed manual gearbox for the petrol variants and a five-speed manual gearbox for the diesel variants. In addition to this, an automatic CVT is also available for diesel variants along with paddle shifters.

The latest Honda Jazz will be offered in five trims including E, S, SV, V AND VX. The production will take place at the company's Tapukara plant located in Rajasthan. The expected price of this model is between INR 5.5 Lacs to INR 8 Lacs (ex-showroom). There is a lot of buzz in the automobile market that this new Jazz will give a tough fight to Hyundai elite i20.
