Vespa Elegante, Things You Would Like to Know About the Scooter

The Italian firm, Vespa has introduced the limited edition scooter named - Vespa Elegante. It is based on its VX variant. The manufacturer has made some changes in new Vespa Elegante to make it different and exclusive from the regular Vespa models. It gets triangular front grille, split seats, round headlight and tubeless tyres.

However, some exclusive key features of Vespa Elegante are chrome perimeter guard kit around the scooter and front bumper, special limited edition 'Elegante' badge and leaf shaped blinkers, which are located on either side on front cowl. The Vespa Elegante comes in two dashing colors namely, Pearl White and Marrakech Brown that will add more taste in its Retro style.

As the name shows 'Limited Edition', the Company will only sell limited units (3,500) of this scooter in Indian market, which will no longer appear in Retro scooter portfolio.

The technical profile though follows the Vespa VX. The new Vespa Elegante uses the same 125cc air-cooled, four-stroke engine. It produces 10Ps of peak power and 10.6Nm of peak torque, which will be transferred to the rear wheel through the CVT transmission.

Moreover, the company claimed the mileage of Vespa Elegante is 60.00kmpl. During the test drive, it gives mileage above 54.86 in city areas and 57.20 in open road. The Vespa Elegante will accelerate the speed of 0-60kmph in just 11.73 second. Thus, the top speed of this scooter is noted on 84.60KMPL.

The Vespa Elegante comes with front disc brake, rear drum brake and tubeless tyres that will do a good job when it comes on the road. The Vespa Elegant will offer a perfect handling and ride quality as it comes fitted with traditional single-side hydraulic shock absorbers at front and hydraulic monoshock at the rear.

The ex-showroom price of Vespa Elegante is INR 79,000 that is a bit higher than its other variants.
