Volkswagen Ameo may Launch in Early H2 2016 with Slight Update

The Delhi Auto Expo 2016, which was scheduled at Greater Noida from 3-9 February including both media and general days, has ended successfully yesterday. Well, many new concepts and updates have been showcased in this event including Volkswagen Ameo, which is basically designed for the Indian car lovers. Now, the reports are doing rounds that it will take place in the country by the second half of 2016 along with some new styling updates. Only some cosmetic change could happen with this new model regarding portions like headlamps and its grille.

If you missed over the earlier cover about this car, then here is a recap of the same. The compact sedan will be available in both petrol and diesel options. The engine specification consists of a 1.2-litre three cylinder MPI petrol unit mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the diesel variant will get a 1.5-litre TDI engine, fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox as well as 7-speed DSG is also going to be available.

Basically, the new Volkswagen Ameo looks identical to the company's hot hatchback Polo at the front, while the rear side seems like the Vento sedan car.  Besides these, it has also been offered with some advanced features like wide air dam, new fog lamps and newly styled bumper.

Coming to the other loaded features, the list includes comfortable upholstery, a mirror link infotainment system, ABS and dual airbags as standard on all trims, rain sensing wipers, automatic AC, cornering lights, auto dimming internal mirrors and etc. With this update, the Ameo could grab more eyeballs, so as to compete with its rivals.
