Volkswagen has finally launched the much awaited Cross Coupe GTE Hybrid SUV concept ahead of its official debut at the Detroit Motor Show 2015 which is also getting started tomorrow. The SUV concept has all the design leads from the history of the company. The measurement of car is 4,846 mm in length, 2029 mm width and decent height of 1,743 mm. Apart from the that, there also would be 22-inch aluminum wheels, 285/40 tyres that are painted in blue matching with the theme of the car. Also, the car gets 2-electric motors each for front and rear and delivering power 54 hp & 114 hp respectively.
It powertrain available in the car is a V6 3.6 Litre FSI engine generating a sum of 355 bhp power and 380 Nm torque with the all wheel drive system. The car also gets to the 100 km/h mark in just 6 seconds before hitting the top speed of 208 km/h.
There are 4 driving profiles available with the SUV, which are On-road, Off-road, Sport and Snow with 5 other drive modes named as E-Mode, Hybrid, GTE and Off-Road and Battery. The production model of the car will hit the manufacturing line by the year 2016 and it means that it might make to the world market for selling sometime after a couple of years.
