Volkswagen Launches New Polo GTi Ahead of Paris Motor Show

The world's largest automaker Volkswagen has just revealed the latest version of its Polo GTi ahead of the launch of the car at the much-awaited Paris Motor Show 2014. The new Polo GTi has a much improved engine and a few of subtle changes in the current model. Many of the new cars have already lined up to join the upcoming show like the Peugeot Exalt concept, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and many others. The Volkswagen however, will be one of the big companies who'll be showing their vehicles at the event.

The new Polo GTi will get the 1.8 Litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 6-speed manual or the DSG gearbox, which will replace the current 1.4 Litre four-cylinder turbocharged powerhouse in the car. This new engine will be producing the 190 bhp power and 320 Nm of torque and will reach to the 100 km/h mark from rest in just 6.7 seconds. The design changes will be very subtle in the car with new bumper at rear and front, latest grille, tailgate GTi badge and red accents as well. Apart from these, there won't be any change in the car.

The car will go on sale in Europe after its launch at the Paris Motor Show 2014. As far as the Indian launch is concerned, there isn't anything confirmed, but the GT TSI and GT TDI versions of the car will surely get updated here.
