The Other Updates

There are little mechanical updates on the Passat Connect. There are no engine variants for the trim and it carries the same 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that churns out 177 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Further, the German automaker claims a fuel efficiency of 17.42kpl for the sedan. The onboard ‘Think Blue Trainer’ feature further assists in improving driving efficiency via timely and effective inputs.

On the comfort and safety front, the Passat Connect will have nine airbags, hill-start assist, and auto-hold, dynamic chassis control as premium features. Other than this a reverse camera with a 360-degree view, park sensors make parking and U-turns easier than before. The sedan also accentuates passenger-driver comfort with premium Nappa leather seats, three-zone climate control, electric adjustable front seats with heating and massage functions. These features will serve well when on holidays or a family road trip.

The premium variant of the Volkswagen Passat Connect has been priced at Rs 28.99 lakh. On Indian roads, it will rival the likes of top-spec Sportline trim of Skoda Superb and Toyota Camry Hybrid
