Volkswagen Launches Vento Highline Plus at INR 10.84 lakh

Volkswagen India has now launched a fresh new variant in its popular mid-range sedan – Vento Highline Plus. The price tag of the car is don with INR 10.84 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The new variation of Highline plus has included full LED headlamps and daytime running lamps along with rear view camera which will help in the parking and also assist in the tough situation of handling. As known, the Vento name tag first appeared in the year 2010 and is in the competition with various other models out there like Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the Skoda Rapid.

The new Vento Highline Plus has included other useful features like turn indicators on the ORVMs, Zirkonia alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, rear air-conditioning vents, auto-dimming IRVM, cooled glove box and a multi-function steering wheel. The car will be in both Volkswagen's DSG-automatic gearboxes and manual and will be available for the preference of the customer.

The Volkswagen Vento comes in 1.2 liters TSI and 1.6-liter MPI petrol engines, each giving an output of 105 PS power while the diesel variant comes with a 1.5 liter TDI engine that gives out 110 PS. Thye actual pricing comes as Highline Manual (1.6 MPI (105PS) – INR 10,84,550 and of diesel variant 1.5 TDI (110PS) – INR 12,20,163. While coming to the automatic variant Highline DSG-Auto Petrol (1.2 TSI (105PS) - INR 12,06,302 and the diesel version is of 1.5 TDI (110PS) – INR 13,42,677.

Thierry Lespiaucq, managing director, Volkswagen Group sales India in a statement at the launch event said that “The Vento has been an integral part of the Volkswagen portfolio in India. It is our constant endeavor to make the Vento a car of choice for young families and working professionals and the Highline Plus is aimed at that direction, we are positive that customers will find resonance in the car.”
