Volkswagen Tiguan To be Assembled Locally in India, confirms VW Group

Recently, we witnessed the second generation Volkswagen Tiguan at the 2016 Delhi Auto expo. The company has decided to assemble the new Tiguan at the local plant in India rather than importing CBU. VW Tiguan is likely to be launched later this year and will be assembled at the VW plant located in Aurangabad.

The second generation VW Tiguan is based on the official MQB platform and comes powered by two german engines- a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 180 PS of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque, while the 2.0-litre TDI turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine propels 150 PS of power output and a peak torque of 340 Nm. The engine shall be mated to a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG transmission.

The VW Tiguan will also be equipped with an array of features like power-adjustable driver seat installed with memory function, Discover Pro navigation system, DYNAUDIO Excite Surround sound system. Additionally, it gets a 3-zone climate control and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) for better handling and hassle-free driving.
