Volvo Aims to Sell Out 2,000 Cars This Year in India

One of the largest luxury car manufacturer, Volvo has promulgated that it has decided to sell its 2,000 units in India, which is 800 extra with regard to last year, as this company had sold out its 1,200 cars in 2014. The brand is present in our country from 2007 and apart from establishing the dealerships in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Surat, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam, Bangalore and Kochi, it has opened its new dealership in Mumbai too. Moreover, Volvo is also planning to inaugurate the outlets in two more metropolitan cities, West Delhi and Kolkata.

At the occasion of opening new dealership in Mumbai, Volvo Auto India Managing Director, Tomas Emberg said, “We have embarked on a promising growth trajectory with a positive YOY growth, making us one of the fastest growing luxury car makers in India. We plan to sell 2,000 cars in 2015 as against 1,200 sold last year.” He added, “Buoyed by our increased acceptability among our valued customers in the last 2-3 years, we are now looking at further strengthening our foothold and expanding our reach in the Indian market.”

Today, this Swedish car producer is busy in selling out the Volvo S80, S60, XC60, V40 Cross and XC90, as well as there are possibilities that the company will launch its XC90 facelift and V40 hatchback in the second half and second quarter of this ongoing year, respectively.
