Volvo S60 Cross Country Launch to Take Place in India on March 11, 2016

Believe it or not, the Swedish car maker Volvo has decided to launch its another luxury sedan car in India on March 11. Labelled as S60 Cross Country, it is based on company's aged S60 sedan car, which has also been succeeded to capture lot of buyers in the country. Well, the Volvo has made some changes to this new model that can hike its price by INR 4-5 Lakhs from the top variant of S60 model.

The most striking features of this Volvo S60 Cross Country is, height adjustable suspension that will help driver to use high ground clearance at uneven and rough ground as well as will also improve the stability on highways. Along with this, the brand has also increased the ground clearance with 65 mm that is also slightly more as compared to the S60.

When showcased at Detroit Motor Show last year, it was globally introduced in both petrol and diesel variants along with front and all wheel drive option. If we talk about the technical specs that includes a 2.5-litre five-cylinder petrol unit that generates 247 Bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque. It comes mated with a six-speed automatic gearbox that comfortably delivers the power at all wheel axle.

The diesel engine is also available with a 2.4-litre five-cylinder and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder mill options internationally. The former unit is good for 188 Bhp of power and 420 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the latter produce 178 Bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque. Well, we can expect all the unit along with 2WD and 4WD option in the country.

Yet to launch, this car could be expected with a price tag of INR 45 Lakhs to INR 50 Lakhs that might hit the market of other luxury car maker in India.
