Volvo XC90 Launch Rescheduled for May 2015 in India

Some months ago, Volvo proclaimed that its dealers will start taking orders for the upcoming new XC90 compact SUV from May 2015 and the launch will be held in September, while seeing the increasing demands from the customers, the Swedish manufacturer has changed its plan. Yes, Volvo India has raised the arriving speed of this vehicle by announcing the released date in May as well as the customers will start getting their orders from September as the bookings have already been commenced. It was showcased in August last year as the second generation flagship SUV.

Recently, this car has been debuted at the 2015 New York Motor Show with brand's new design language. The XC90 will be available in both petrol as well as diesel fuel mill options, while in India, the company is expected to introduce only oil burner variant that will be powered by a 1,969 cc inline four cylinder twin turbocharged unit to make an impressive power of 225 bhp and a maximum torque of 470 Nm. An 8-speed manual transmission system would be present as a power supplier, by which all four wheels of this crossover will be driven.

During the occasion of the V40 Cross Country Petrol launch, MD of Volvo Cars India, Tomas Emberg said that the Indian market will be the one, which would have the XC90 Excellence special edition next year, whenever the car maker will start its production and deliveries.
