Where is the KTM Duke 200 Gone?? Is it swapping up with Duke 250?

It's just a few days back, when the Austrian sports motorcycle manufacturer has showcased its all new quarter-liter sports twin machines; the KTM RC250 and Duke 250. Both the sports motorcycles have made their first official semblance at the Tokyo Motor Show, 2015. The Tokyo Motor Show was being held in Japan in the last week of March, 2015. While displaying these quarter-liter entry-level sports motorcycles at the show, the firm hasn't showed up their intention of launching the duo in the global market. Hence, we all were expecting these to come at the EICMA, 2015.

Recently, the KTM Duke 200 was missing from the firm's official website, not only from Indian website, but from various other regions as well, which directly left us with various arising questions in our mind. The Duke 200 was the first who made its successful entry in the Indian two-wheeler market. Following the success steps of the 200cc displaced motorcycle, the firm has introduced the Duke 390 and the RC twin brothers over the Indian ground. However, after witnessing the absence of the naked sports motorcycle, my mind is speculating all around thinking what will happen next? Is the KTM Duke 250 will be coming towards Indian market or is it the end of the 200cc displaced naked motorcycle.

Talking about the KTM Duke 250, it is a mirror image of the Duke 200, but carrying an engine displacement of 250cc. It is featuring a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which is tuned to deliver a churning power of 31 BHP and 24Nm of peak torque. Eventually, replacing the Duke 200 with the Duke 250 is not at all a bad idea, while it will surely help to increase the sales figures of the product.

Looking forward, the manufacturer could also be thinking to introduce the quarter-liter RC 250, but whom it will replace, it is still in the question. Besides, all these things going around, we need to wait for the consequences coming our way anytime soon.
