Will Avenger 150 be the Third Variant in Cruiser range?

The Bajaj Auto will introduce its three new variants of cruiser motorcycles in this month, out of which, out of which two models have been spotted already, named as Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise, whereas the third one would be the 150cc model. It seems like that the company is planning to expand its cruiser Avenger family in the country with the addition of the smaller engine model.  Rajiv Bajaj, the Managing Director of Bajaj Auto has stated that they will be introduced three new models in the cruiser segment in the upcoming days. The rumors are suggested that the company will be introducing three different engined motorcycles in cruiser range- 220cc, 200cc and 180cc. Now, it seems that the 200cc engine will not be offered in the cruiser segment.

The 150cc motor, however, is expected to be built on the board of Pulsar AS150 that is likely to be shared the same power and output. Moreover, currently the company is selling only one model in its cruiser lineup- Bajaj Avenger 220, which is powered by the four-stroke, single cylinder motor that returns 18.76 BHP of power at 8400 RPM and 17.5 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM.

With the three new cruiser models, the company is planning to rule the Indian two-wheeler market and wants to increase the sales figure. As of now, the Bajaj Auto selling 3,600 units of the Avenger 220 per month and with the launch of three new models, the company is reportedly planning to sell 8,000 to 9,000 units per month of cruiser motorcycle.

Talking about the other 220cc models, both the Avenger Street and Avenger 220 Cruise will be featured with the same 220cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that is currently used in the current model in the market. The engine of the both models might be tuned to increase the power and torque.
