This February, India Yamaha Motor has launched a 250cc naked streetfighter, the FZ25 in the country. For which, the brand received good reviews and appreciation by the automobile enthusiasts. Now, the Japanese bike maker is all set to introduce a semi-faired sibling of the FZ25. The forthcoming is likely to be christened as the Fazer 250 and may hit the Indian ground by the end of this year.
Apparently, the Fazer 250 will resemble to its naked sibling, the FZ25. Apart from the semi-fairing which will comprise a twin LED headlamp and rear placed split LED tail. Altogether, it will also share components such as all digital instrument cluster, telescopic front forks, rear monoshock as well as dual disc brake setup. The advanced safety feature of Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is also expected as the upcoming legislations set to make ABS mandatory.

Mechanically, the motorcycle will be loaded with the same FZ25’s 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled powertrain that is said to develop 20.6 hp of power and 20Nm of torque. The engine will be coupled to a 5-speed transmission.
In the global market, Yamaha Fazer 250 is already on sale. While, it is likely to hit the Indian market anytime by the end of this year. Chances are, it could be renamed as the FZ 250. Price-wise, the new Yamaha Fazer 250 will be expensive than the FZ25 and could tagged with the price sticker around Rs 1.30 lakh, ex-showroom.
