Yamaha R25 will be on its way from Indo-to-India: on sale soon

It's like a dream come true!! Yes, exactly, the most awaited and favorite motorcycle Yamaha R25 will be coming towards India pretty soon. The expected official launch of the upcoming sports motorcycle in India will be going to held in the year 2015. The Vice President of Yamaha Indonesia, Mr. Shintaro Ambe has made an announcement that the company will export the latest motorcycle in the select 14 countries and it will be expected to increase in near future. The company will be exporting the quarter-liter motorcycle as the CBU or CKD units.

The motorcycle has surprised everyone at the time of launch in the month of May, 2014 when it clocked 2800 bookings within the first 25 hrs. The motorcycle has already reached the top 500 customers of the R25, who booked their dream motorcycle online. Further, in order to meet the expectations, the company is planning to increase the production rate of the motorcycle. The manufacturing plant located in the East Jakarta would need to touch 2,000 units per month in total and half of them will be used for export to various other countries. The Yamaha R25 gets assembled in just 3 minutes.

The company is planning to inaugurate the export by the end of the fiscal year. The Indian fans are vigorously waiting to have a ride on their beloved 249cc sports motorcycle. Although, it is not yet confirmed that the R25 will be coming as the CBU or CKD unit. The quarter-liter motorcycle is featuring a parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, which is coupled with a 6-speed transmission. The power figures are unbeatable and could be appealing for a rider to have a ride on this motorcycle. The power generated by the R25 is 36PS @ 12,000 RPM and a maximum torque of 22.6Nm @ 10,000 RPM. The top speed achieved by the R25 is 196KMPH on dyno.

Now, coming towards the pricing section, the Yamaha R25 is expected to be priced between Rs 2.75 Lakh INR- Rs 3.75 Lakh INR (Ex-Showroom Price). Hence, regardless of its price, the Yamaha R25 seems to hold itself wisely against various other sports bikes available in India, like Honda CBR 300R.
