As expected the Yamaha R3 to be relaunched irrespective of CBR250R to make a comeback. At the launch of Fazer 25’s launch, the bike-lovers got the chance to ask about R3 BS4 to Roy Kurian, Vice President (sales & marketing) of Yamaha India.

The VC of Yamaha India said, “We had the R3 which has been temporarily discontinued in the Indian market. It will be brought back very soon.” He further in a talk mentioned that the bike is going to launch in about three months.

The launch of refurbished Yamaha R3 BS4 is expected to be on around Nov 2017 to January 2018. Officially, the company has accepted that the new R3 BS4 will be updated with the BS4 emission norms and will launch in India soon.

It is noteworthy that the company has launched the R3 with BS3 compliant model in March 2017 and after the new BS4 compliant model in 1st April 2017, it could not sustain the market. Yamaha India which takes the R3 via CKD kits originated from Thailand. So, till Thailand gets the updated model, Yamaha India has to continue with the existing model in India.
