Yamaha to Recall Units of R25, MT25, R3 and MT320 in Japan

Yamaha Japan officially announces the recall of some its motorcycles due to higher oil pump failures, transmission issues, and front brake problems. The list includes the names of Yamaha R25, MT25, R3, and MT320.

The major reason behind the recall is because for a couple of the aforementioned issues. Statistically, 1458 R3 units have been found defective with issues like faulty oil pumps and a problem with the clutch, which is basically a transmission glitch. Due to the inappropriate design of the oil pump of the engine plunger, the prime mover is not able to function properly. Apart from this, issues are also there in the transmission device as the clutch pressure plate is not able to handle the bearing strength. The front brake was reported to come in contact with the radiator while the bike is in running mode. This resulted in the reduction of the braking force because of the leakage of the fluid.

However, the news is not officially confirmed yet. As of now, Yamaha India remains quite about the YZF-R3 that whether any recall is needed or not.
