The Yamaha YZR-M1 race bike for the 2018 MotoGP season has been rendered at an event in Madrid, Spain. Prominent Racers from Yamaha MotoGP team, Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales put the wrap off the respective bikes.
As compared to the last season, these are the evolved bikes. The new YZR-M1 bike is now based on revived chassis while the suspension setup and braking components are being said sourced from the Ohlins and Brembo respectively for better performance. The bike is sporting the same blue paint scheme but the Movistar logo on the fairing is now in white as opposed to the green of the earlier model.
Other than this, the contract for the grand prix winner Maverick Vinales has been extended for two more years. During his last season, the 23-year-old Vinales managed to get the third spot. While, for the other racer in Yamaha team, Valentino Rossi, no such contract extension information is out from the Japanese bike maker stable. This year will be 13th and last year of his contract with the Yamaha. Last year, Rossi sadly got the fifth spot.
