Blackmagic Design, the Australian electronic equipment manufacturer, has recently released an update for the in-camera utility feature. The updated version of the utility has come up with some really new changes, which supports the in-camera formatting. The Blackmagic camera utility 1.9.7 version supports Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. The updated software is available on the company's website with no charges.
The new disk formatting updated software allows users to format their SSD's and SD cards in-camera and terminates the use of computers. This helps the user to prepare their disk for recording and to capture images whenever and wherever they want to. This new attribute is distinctive in nature as it allows Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera to format the disks, which have been used to record high-performance video. While formatting the disk, the user first needs to justify the brand of the disk and various other parameters, the software has been asking to format the disk.
The company will be offering two choices for the users in order to format the disc. The first one is ExFAT, which makes it convenient for Windows and Mac OS X users, as it is compatible with both the platforms and formats the high speed disk. While the second one, i.e. HFS+, which is specifically designed for MAC OS X, as it supports journaling and allows high performance formatting. Besides all these characteristics, the newly updated utility 1.9.7 software allows easy selection on the dashboard menu. On the camera's screen menu, a user can select various options to format disks, can enable multiple options, access settings page and it is pretty easy to install as well.
Apart from this, the firm has been updating the Blackmagic utility software with latest versions each passing day. The entire versions are easily available to download from the firm's website and there will be no extra charges for Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.
