The bigger gets better again. Fujifilm has released the firmware update for their X-T1 series mirrorless cameras, which was introduced in 2013 during the month of November. The camera houses a good number of goodies to snap superior quality images with ultra fast shutter speed and various customizable options. The X-T1 Graphite Silver Edition magnesium body is treated with antioxidant and is available in semi matte black shade, which is the result of frequent thin coating of base covered up with the actual paint job. Apart from the visual aspects, the camera is boasted with EXR processor 2 for best photography and still imaging.

The 16 mega pixel X-Trans CMOS II sensor with ISO 200 to 1600 grabs superb images with negligible blur factor. The user can experience the true life display with 2.36M dot OLED electronic viewfinder, which is equipped with 0.77x equivalent magnification. The camera can shoot in full HD 1080 mode with 60 frames per second. The flash unit needs to be attached separately. With the update to this camera’s firmware, the company has included many well designed points and modern traits.

The first one on offer is the electronic shutter. The sound produced by the shutter has been brought to imperceptible amount. The maximum shutter speed of Fujifilm’s X-T1 is 1/4000 seconds, which can produce lags while using the wide angle lenses in sunlight. After the firmware update, the shutter speed has gone up with 1/32,000 seconds. One can also use this at regular speed of 1 second.

Another aspect which has seen improvements is regarding the settings for view finder. The viewfinder now shows natural replica for user’s easy handling. As before the update, this camera was used to show the color and picture modes for the images, which have been removed now. The optical viewfinder has become livelier with a clear view of the object.  The third major change was seen in the appearance of controls with the classic appearance in the name of Velvia, Provia and Astia. These themes are programmed for better appearance of the device.

Apart from these updates, Fujifilm has also planned some more great things for their cameras including X-T1 snapper to debut by the end of this year. The boost in shutter time for better videography and still photography along with the revised focal length will be seen in the future feature rush of this device. The focus can then be arranged by the 4 way key and no Fn key will be required for the same. The faster focus can be achieved by utilizing phase detection AF directly from the AF button in Manual focus mode. The menu screen will see the user’s approach for the selection of Macro mode as it will be directly accessed then. The customizability options will also receive renovation for making the cam easy and handy to value. The choice of ISO will also see a value before the user starts shooting for proper assignment of shutter and aperture. The frame rate also gets fluctuated from 30-60 FPS to 25-50 FPS. The low light photography will also get enhanced with a rise of 4 seconds from ¼ seconds.  The overall update issues will work well for professionals and fanatics.
