Leica's 60th Anniversary Special M Edition 60; does it missed out something?

Leica is also on the celebration mood this year, as 2014 is the company's M Series Rangefinder's 60th Anniversary, which the firm will be whooping up with the world's leading imaging fair, 'Photokina'. At the world's largest photography show, all other imaging device manufacturers are busy with the premiere of their products at the fair; the Leica has come-up with 60th Anniversary special M Edition 60.

The M Series from the Leica is the iconic rangefinder series of the company. Talking about the interesting facts, the M Edition 60 will look exactly like a digital camera but omitting the genes of modern snapping needs, you'll never come to know that it is a digital camera, but yeah it is. It misses out some of the respected features, which can be seen in others very easily.

The M Edition 60 doesn't feature a display screen where you can see the clicked images, menu system has also been missed out by the manufacturer and there will be no indicators or any electronic viewfinder. Instead of missing these features, the M Edition 60 flashes out a small red colored light; this indicates the utilization of the SD card. There is no technique or mechanism provided by the manufacturer, by which you can have a look at the clicked images. The only path which leads you to have a look at the shots taken is by incorporating the SD card with your computer or laptop, as the USB port or HDMI output dreamy for this camera.

Projecting lights over the special anniversary edition features of M Edition 60 is that it gives you a larger ISO dial (200-6400) and you can manually set the aperture with the help of Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH lens. The special M Edition 60 builds with a stainless steel and its design is completely based upon the Leica M-P, which is a 24 MP camera. The focus could be adjusted manually, as it is having a rangefinder system and can shoot only RAW images.

The M Edition 60, being a special edition digital camera will be limited to only 600 units. The newly released camera is priced at $19,400 and will be available at the stores of Leica by the beginning of the coming month.
