The American company has introduced a new set of lenses for the purpose of Sports as well as wild life scenarios. The amazing zoom impact of these lenses is the biggest aspect of these cameras. The company has introduced 2 new hyper telephoto zoom lenses. These 150-600mm F/5-6.3 DG OS HSM lenses can perform brilliantly and efficiently to make out hard core precision in the snapping environment. Both the devices are manufactured for their specific purpose and hence they are named as Sports and Contemporary.
The Sports unit is basically designed to perform action photography and offer high panning angles and motion response with the help of optical stabilizer. The Contemporary somehow matches with that of the Sports one, but it has a slightly compact packaging. The devices are crafted ingeniously and they are applied with water and oil proof coating over the extreme lenses. While working on F/8, these Global Vision teleconverters lineup compatible lenses are features with a great autofocus algorithm (AF) with Hyper Sonic Motor to perform faster on their activity. The switches have also been reworked with the newer ones for the better usability along with the feature of locking the unit at a particular focal distance. With this, a manual override switch has also been designed for the better focusing job.
The internal arrangement of the Sports lens is composed of 16 groups comprising 24 elements merging 2 FLD and 3 SLD glasses. The maximum magnification ration is 1:5 with the aperture being F/22 with 102.4 inches of minimum focusing range, it can do miraculous snapping. On the other hand, the smaller unit of the sports bunch has 10.2x4.1 inches dimensions. In contrast to the internal arrangement of Sports lens, the contemporary is bonded with 14 groups comprising 20 elements coupled with 1 FLD and 3 SLD glasses. The maximum magnification ratio and minimum aperture are similar to that of previous one while the minimum focusing distance gets a boost with 110.2 inches. Both the lenses can be escalated over Sigma, Canon and Nikon mounts, while the contemporary can also be added to the Sony mounts.
These lenses are compatible with USB dock and Mount Conversion Service, this USB dock allows them for customization of AF Speed, OS viewing mode, focus limiting and future firmware updates. The Photokina has a lot more to come with future ready appliances and equipments.
