Sony Introduces Cyber-shot HX350 With 50x Optical Zoom

Sony, the well-known giant techno manufacturing firm, at the end of this year, has unveiled the successor of its HX300 super-zoom compact camera dubbed as HX350. The new DSLR is announced only for European markets, which will go on sale by the starting of next year with a price tag of EUR 449.

Most of the specifications of HX350 remains same as its predecessor, but still, being a successor model, it comes with some improved features. It is blessed with a back-illuminated 20.4-megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor along with an updated BIONZ X image processor. The ISO range of the camera is rated up to ISO 80-3200, which is capable of expanding to 12800 in a multi-frame NR mode.

Furthermore, the user will be bestowed a focal length of 24mm at the wide end and 1200mm at the telephoto end (35mm equivalent) whereas the camera aperture is f/2.8-6.3, which provides the user 50x optical zoom for shooting distant objects and wildlife photography.

Moreover, the new HX350 also packs convenient options such as an easily-accessible mode dial, a manual ring for smooth adjustment of zoom and focus, PASM controls, and a custom button for quick adjustment of settings. It is also capable of 10fps burst shooting and can record video up to 1080p at 60fps. Connectivity options of the camera lack Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC but come with USB 2.0 and Micro-HDMI port.

A tiltable 3-inch LCD display is also provided, but still there is no microphone or headphone socket present on it. It also packs optical SteadyShot feature, which prevents the camera shake keeps the video steady. Lastly, it has an inbuilt intelligent Active Mode feature, which keeps the full-HD video sharp and blur-free collaborated with Sony’s proprietary frame analysis technology.
