Acer, the renowned Taiwanese company has announced its new Android tablet in the European market with price tag of 199 euros. Company has made the entry in market with Iconia Tab 8 which is expected to come in other countries in third quarter of this year. It will be presented next week in Computex trade fair.
It gets 8-inch full HD IPS display which is protected with anti-fingerprint coating. To boost the performance of the device, Intel Atom quad-core Z3745 Bay Trail processor does well along with 2GB of RAM. This tablet is embedded with Android 4.4 KitKat which offers quite impressive and easy to understand UI presentation.
Storage part of the device comes with 16GB or 32GB internal storage options and also supports microSD card for expandable storage. The tablet is equipped wonderfully with 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual-front speakers and GPS are some connectivity features, provided in the phone.
Acer Iconia Tab 8 looks very stylish and elegant with its sleek design. The back of the device is packed with silver metal cover. The 8.5mm thin design makes the tablet to easily drag into the bag and good for carrying anywhere while you are on the move. It is weighed 360 grams only and it is coming with the promise of delivering 7.5 hours of battery life. The resolution it offers is 1920 x 1200 pixels.
"We want everyone to be able to enjoy the features you can find in high-end products," Maverick Shih, president of Acer tablet business said. "Acer wants to build affordable tablets with great value," he also added.
