AMD AM1 Athlon and Sempron APUs costs very low for India to build a PC

AMD, the company of processor and graphic card has unveiled AM1 platform last week. Thanks to AMD which brought these great processors and graphic cards in India at very low price. Company has introduced its new AM1 platform which is codenamed Kabini. It has provided low cost APUs Athlon and Sempron which comes with Graphics Core Next (GCN) GPU architecture and Jaguar-class CPU cores.

AMD said that the new APU for PC is priced at Rs. 15,000 only. Sempron 2650 is priced at Rs 2,200 and quad core Athlon 5350 comes with the price of Rs 3,850. These two APUs are based on AM1 which will perform well at low power. Sempron 3850, Athlon 5150 are priced at Rs 2649, Rs 3299 respectively. These APUs are clocked at 1.45GHz, 1.3GHz, 1.6GHz and 2.05GHz of CPU frequencies.

This will allow the users to build a PC with AM1 platform at only Rs. 10,000. This new APU is shipped with eight USB 2.0 ports, SATA 6 GBPS ports, PCIe 2.0 lanes and a couple of USB 3.0 ports. It can also upgrade the graphic card and VGA video outputs.
