Asus Transformer Book T100HA Launched in India at INR 23,990

Last year Computex proved to be a big round success for Asus since it showcased its first ever laptop-tablet hybrid product dubbed as Transformer Book T100HA. Taking one step ahead, Taiwanese tech firm has now unveiled the same product in India at a nominal price of INR 23,990 combined with Windows 10 (the latest OS launched by Microsoft) and with 2 color variants namely Aqua Blue and Tin Gray.

It carries a weight of just 580 grams and that too with no keyboard included. Dimension wise, it measures 265x175x15.4mm and sports a metallic finish. Precombined with Windows 10 OS, users can expect it to support Microsoft based products like Microsoft Office suite, Continuum mode and even Cortana (the first ever virtual voice assistant launched by Microsoft in the laptop range of products) and several other Microsoft based applications.

The Asus Transformer Book T100HA features a 10.1-inch detachable LED back-lit display with WXGA resolution and pixel density of 129 ppi that doubles up as a tablet. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor and is clubbed with 2GB of RAM. It gives a storage capacity of 64GB and sports a 5-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

The 2-in-1 hybrid has been given a variety of options on the connectivity front. It features 4 different kinds of ports each with their own set of functions like USB Type-C port, a USB 2.0 port, a Micro-USB 2.0 port and lastly a Micro-HDMI port. Alongside it sports a 3.5mm headphone jack which is spread across the keyboard dock and the tablet display and gives support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.

The presence of Fast Charging technology permits the hybrid product to charge from 0-80 percent in just a span of 2 hours which is further enhanced by the presence of a 30Whr battery, which as the company claims, can last for up to 12 hours on a single charge under 'normal' usage. Though it sports no inbuilt keyboard, but the dock can easily be connected with the Transformer Book T100HA using neodymium magnets.
