Google has almost thrilled the market with its latest invention which is manufactured by Asus. Chromecast has become way old gadget. Now, world demands more enhanced technology. And, here is the Chromebit which is a joint product of Google and Asus. This HDMI dongle is not just a stick; it will turn your TV into a Chromebook or Chrome PC.
You can simply call it a "PC on a Stick". The tiny device has been set to sell at a very affordable price of $100. Company is offering it in variety of colors like blue, silver and orange. The cuddley stick will work by plugging into an HDMI port.
The specifics which are known about this Chromebit are very few which includes Rockchip RK 3288 chip, 16GB SSD storage, 2GB Memory, and quad-core Mali 760 graphics. However, the market is flooded with lots of TV dongles which are equipped with Rockchip processor. To meet with the connectivity purpose, the device comes loaded with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a USB 2.0 port.
As per Google statement, this device will reach in stores to turn your display into PC in middle of this year. The search engine giant said, "By simply plugging this device into any display, you can turn it into a computer. It's the perfect upgrade for an existing desktop and will be really useful for schools and businesses."
One more thing which will knock you down with a feather is its swivel top which makes it easy to fit in any HDMI port. However, this is not the only product for this functionality. Intel had brought back in January a Compute Stick which has the same purpose like this new HDMI dongle Chromebit.
