Panasonic India Launches Separable 2-in-1 Toughbook CF-20

On Thursday Panasonic India has launched a new 2-in-1 Toughbook CF-20 that can be further separated and can be converted into a 10.1-inch tablet. This latest tablet by Panasonic is priced at Rs. 2,25,000 and is compatible with challenging environments, including field services, utilities, oil and gas, transportation and logistics, healthcare, insurance, public safety and defense. For the durability purpose the device has been incorporated with the MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F military specifications, and IP65 water and dust resistance.

"Aimed to meet the evolving needs of enterprises, the CF-20 is bundled with a broad range of configurable options. The ability to detach the tablet from notebook provides flexibility and unparalleled reliability and enterprise-grade features," Gunjan Sachdev, National Business Head, Panasonic India, said to the reporters.

The Panasonic 2-in-1 Toughbook CF-20 has been equipped with Windows 10 Pro and is powered by 6th generation 1.1GHz Intel Core m5-6Y57 vPro processor with Intel HD Graphics 515. The gadget comes with a 128GB SSD (up to 512GB), and 8GB of RAM and an optional bridge battery that allows swapping of the battery to ensure continuous use. Users can opt for Windows 7 Professional as well and additionally, it has a glove-enabled 10.1-inch full-HD touchscreen and purpose-built Vehicle Mount and Desktop Port Replicator, armed to meet all mobile computing needs at extreme conditions. The connectivity options include USB, SD card reader, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and optional 4G LTE and GPS.

The Panasonic India has announced that the Toughbook CF-20 will be available in India in August 2016 from authorized Panasonic resellers and is backed by a three-year limited warranty. At the launch event, Kensei Isaki, Manager, Asia Pacific & India Sales Section, Overseas Sales Department, IT Products Business Division (ITPBD), AVC Networks Company, said, "Panasonic Toughbook have been designed to meet the evolving business needs of the enterprises. While enterprises continue to diversify, the need of the hour is mobile computing. Mobility, particularly at mission-critical situations, give an edge to businesses.
