Samsung Kicked off Pre-Booking of Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and Tab A 9.7 in US

After silently launching Android 5.0 Lollipop based tablets: Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and Tab A 9.7 at a press event held in Russia in March 2015, now Samsung has finally started taking pre-orders for these two devices in US. As the matter of fact, marketplace of plus-sized devices is becoming quite competitive day-by-day, in which almost leading brands are continually commencing their well-built products to capture this realm. To remind you, this Korean giant is prepping to bring a bevy of handhelds in coming days, where its an upcoming tab: Galaxy Tab 5 has recently been leaked via a certification agency.

Diving into Tab A 8.0, featuring full metal chassis, gadget bears an 8-inch PLS TFT display with a pixel resolution of 1024 x 768p and measures 8.20 x 5.43 x 0.29 inch dimension. Powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-Core, Qualcomm APQ 8016, machine is fueled by a huge 4200mAh Li-Ion battery. Touching the Imaging front, it is outfitted with a 5.0-megapixel autofocus rear camera alongside a 2.0-megapixel selfie sensor.

To remind you, a previous report had claimed about its compatibility with LTE networks, while listing on official website rebuts earlier report on this aspect because 4G option has not been mentioned in specs catalog. Notably, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 confers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, USB v2.0 and GPS with Glonass connectivity options.

Memory-wise, tab is armed with 1.5GB RAM alongside 16GB ROM, which can be expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card. Moreover, consumers can share content and work between their Samsung tablet, smartphone and personal computer with ease by using company's own SideSync 3.0 and Quick Connect technologies incorporated into gadget. Most importantly, users will be able to download Microsoft Office for free from Google Play and handheld will come with 100GB of OneDrive storage that will be complimentary for two years.

Coming to Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, this 9.7-inch tablet holds resemblance with its smaller sibling on various facets, but one thing makes it more promising i.e comprisal of a gigantic 6000mAh Li-Ion battery. Here, its battery has been claimed to render 160 hours of music play time, 12 hours of video play time and 11 hours of browsing time.

Notably, both the creations of tech giant have been designed in three color models: Smoky Blue, Smoky Titanium and White. Furthermore, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has been labeled with a price tag of $229.99 and its market companion will be available with a price tag of $299.99. Well, US based prospective purchasers will get their hands on these gadgets from the next month, but we are yet to hear some word regarding the arrival of tabs in other regions.
