How Google change the daily life of common man

Google does not need any introduction, if we think of Internet we think of Google. Company started from a Garage in silicon valley, now turned into MNC with more than 70 offices around 40 global locations. Nowadays almost every Internet user is taking help or using Google and if we talk about what really the word 'Google' means, then it is a term inspired from the word googol which means 1.0 * 10^100 or we can say that 10 powered with 100.

Company firstly started in year 1998 when two computer science Stanford graduates, Larry page and Sergey Brin co-founded Google as a search engine. After 15 years from its origin it came long way, it totally changed the search experience with various features and techniques. It joined the comman men to the Internet and changed their lives slowly and steadily. It was not the revolutionary technology that gives a new extension to human living but a simple search engine, It changed the game because of its search in which they are so good and efficient.

If we try to summarize how Google has changed the lives of common men then there are so many points that may go in favor of it. Listing some of these points.

1. Search with newer extension

Before the release of Google, Internet users were provided with certain search engines like Yahoo and MSN now known as Bing. These search engine gave simple and limited search results and this gives arise to Google and bringing new extension in the search engine field.

Google search engine brings a newer level of search experience, now people are able to search about different keywords, documents and websites. It provides various kinds of searches with various search filters.

Company have very large databases around the globe and if you search for a specific word you will get millions of search results in which most of them are useless. Company provided about 22 types of filter techniques to decrease the search result and to get relevant result only, these filters include searches on the basis of the geographical locations, time, image, uses different specified keywords like 'intitle', 'inbody' etc. for better and efficient search.

2. Gmail

Gmail is the email facility provided by the Google and used by millions of people around the globe. Similarly from Google, Gmail is also the best mailing website in the world. Previously, Yahoo and Hot-mail were used for mailing purpose but the major drawback was of limited space for saving which is up-to 1 to 5 MB. Gmail changed the scenario by providing about 1 GB of space for each account. It also gives certain functionalities such as 25 MB of sending capacity for each mail, user is able to various type of documents with different extension through Google Docs.

3. Google Maps

In earlier times people travel to new locations with the help of physical maps than time changes, people started using GPS systems and online mapping websites for search for a new places. Later, Google maps comes with greater functionalities and features.

It comes with better interface which is way helping and easy to understand. It provided with various features like Route Planner, which offers direction route to different travellers who want to trip from one location to another, Google Street view which gives panoramic street view and navigation. It also available for mobile phone users to find and view different geographical locations through their devices only.

4. You Tube

You tube is previously developed by three people other than Company in year 2005 and later owned by Google in year 2006. It is video sharing website where user can upload their videos, it is also a kind of search engine but only searches for videos. Today many of us are using You Tube to watch, share and upload videos so others can enjoy it.

5. Google Translate

It is another great feature of search engine giant where we can able to translate one word or sentence of a particular language into another language. Google Translate supports about 80 languages for translation which includes English, French, Hindi, Chinese and various other languages. It helps in communicating different people speaking and writing different languages. It also increase Non-English Internet search which indirectly increases total number of Internet Users around the globe.

6. Google Chrome

Google Chrome is a free web browser developed by search engine giants. It is based on the open source Chromium project. Company released this browser in year 2008 and issues several updates afterwards. It can run on various operating systems like Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Chrome is faster than Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. It supports various languages and styles like HTML5 and CSS.

7. Google News

News is something which is keeps on changing and we must need to updated with it. Company introduced this feature to give latest updates and News around the globe. It is also provided with various filters which gives news about the specific field such as technology, politics, sports, entertainment etc. The filtration of the news could be done by Geographical locations and timing constraints.

8. Google Drive

It is file storage and synchronization service provided by the company which enables user file sharing, cloud storage and collaborative editing. According to company Google Drive is a single place to manage all your files, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and other on;line documents. There are also several market opponents of the applications like i-Cloud, Dropbox and Yandex.

9. Google Play

company has launch Android, a mobile operating system. It got huge appreciation in the market by exponential selling rates. Google Play is digital distribution platform designed preferably for the Android users for various applications. It is also online electronic and digital media store developed and maintained by the company.

10. Google+

This is the new feature and application of the company. It is a social networking website which help people to stay connected with their friends around the globe. We know that it is really hard to imagine life without social networking websites and this is also one reason to increase Internet users in world. People share their ideas, thoughts, photos and stories on social networking website and Google+ is helping it.

11. Google Scholar

It is a new application developed by the company, in which user will able to get most of the books, thesis and information about various academic subjects and fields.
