Twitter From September 19 Will not Count Media Links Under 140 Character Limit

Twitter has already confirmed that the traditional 140 character limit for tweets will go on as it is. However, in May, the company has made some plans to change the pattern of counting those 140 characters, without announcing the exact date of implementing the marked plans. The new reports revealed says the execution of new plans will take place from September 19 this year.

As per the reports say, after executing new rules, the tweets will not count the username in 140-character limit. Apart from that, the new plans will also stop the counting of media attachments like images, gifs, videos, polls and quote tweets as characters within your Tweet as well.

Twitter, earlier in May, while announcing the changes have confirmed that the new changes will make “more easier and more straightforward” conversations on the site. According to the Verge reports, plans for the rollout could change too.

Meanwhile, Twitter is also planning to enable retweet button on the user’s tweets for retweeting or quoting tweets. Presently, it will be unfair to say that the changes will roll out gradually or from next week only.
