When famous brands have started failing in their own crash tests of international standards, Indian measures for them started thinking. Being a competitive market, the car companies have tried hard to deliver best out of their caliber. Still, the car companies slobber to move as per their international models in India due to various different reasons.

The new safety standards to be incorporated will be named as Bharat New Car Safety Assessment Program. The new standard will match criteria of Euro-NCAP in star rating the vehicles and will involve side impact and frontal collisions. This crash test will include tests for new cars as well as current cars. Post test, they will be marked as per the stars in terms of star rating.

This standard might circulate the rule to install safety features including Airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP and seat belt reminders as a standard equipment. The increase in cost of vehicle might affect the gross sales of the company but will definitely decrease the graph of casualties in road accidents.
