Nubia X Launched With Dual- Display, 845 SoC and More

Nubia X has been unveiled by ZTE sub-brand Nubia at an event conducted in China. The Nubia X features dual- display, dual fingerprint scanner which is the key highlights of the newly launched Nubia smartphone. To offer a full- screen design, the company has removed a front-facing camera from the device, however, the secondary camera sensor on the rear panel can be used to capture selfies.

Nubia X Price and Availability 

The Nubia X has been launched at a starting price of CNY 3299 (approximately Rs. 34,960) for base 6GB/64GB storage which is available in Gray and Black with Gold colors. The Blue color variant of Nubia X comes with same storage that has been priced at CNY 3399 yuan (approximately Rs. 36,000)

The mid-8GB/ 128GB storage variant costs CNY 3699 approximately Rs. 39,195) which is to be made available in Black and Grey with Gold colors, while the Blue color variant comes with CNY 3,799 ( approximately Rs 40,300).

Lastly, Nubia X high- end 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 4,199 (roughly Rs. 44,500) for the Black and Grey with Gold color options, whereas the Blue with color options costs CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs.45,600).

The pre-bookings of Nubia X have commenced in the China market from October 31 which will be available for purchase from November 5 on Nubia's China official site, TMall, JD.com, and Suning. Currently, the company has not announced whether it would Nubia X in India or not.

Nubia X Specifications

The smartphone has been created with 2.5D curved glass around the corners. For the protection purpose, the company has offered Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and rear side. On the front panel, the Nubia X has a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with a screen resolution 2280 x 1080 pixels, 93.6 percent screen-to-body ratio and 19:9 aspect ratio. On the rear panel, the Nubia X features a 5.1-inch display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and remaining features of the rear panel are similar to the front panel The company is touting that the rear panel is capable to take HD selfies, custom signatures, dynamic pictures and advanced controls for high-quality gaming.

From the software front, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo layered with the company’s Nubia UI 6.0 on top.

Under the hood, the Nubia X has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. For storing content, it gets 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage but does not support microSD card.

On the rear display, there are two camera sensors consisting of 16MP primary and 24MP secondary sensor with an aperture lens of f/1.8 and f/1.7 respectively. Both camera sensors are accompanied by dual- tone LED flash. The company reported that the users can use a secondary sensor to capture selfies even after missing the front- camera.

The connectivity options on the Nubia X include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port. The smartphone comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,800mAh battery bundled with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology which charges the smartphone fastly. It measures 154.1x73.30x8.4mm and weighs 181 grams.
