All Nokia Smartphones Will Receive Android P Software Update Soon

Nokia, Finnish- based company has officially announced that all Nokia smartphones launched by HMD Global till now will soon get Android P software update. The announcement regarding Android P- software update has been made by company’s Global Marketing Manager, Neill Broadley, while launching the new Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 at an event in Moscow, Russia. Additionally, Nokia 2 will get Android 8.0 Oreo update in June.

All Nokia ranges of smartphone from budget segment Nokia 1 to premium Nokia 8 Sirocco will soon get Android P- software update. Obviously, it includes recently launched Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 2018 series of smartphones. The 2017 lineup of Nokia smartphones got an unexpected Android update however for the 2018 lineup there was already chances of Android update as per the part of 2 years guaranteed update program. HMD Global has officially announced that Nokia 5 (2017) and Nokia 6 (2017) will receive Android P software. Additionally, those Nokia smartphones such as Nokia 1 and Nokia 2.1 running on Android Oreo (Go Edition) will also get Android P version.

The Nokia 2 which was launched earlier in October 2017 will get Android 8.1 Oreo update sometimes in June this year, as confirmed by HMD Global at the launch event in Moscow, Russia. Nokia 2 will be the last smartphone to receive Android Oreo software update in June, however, the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 had already received Android Oreo update earlier this year.

Presently, the HMD Global has launched the Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 (2018) editions at an event in Moscow, Russia on 29th May. The Nokia 2 (2018) runs on Android Oreo (Go edition). However, the Nokia 3 (2018) and Nokia 5 (2018) is a part of Android One Operating System. Currently, the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5 (2018) run on Android 8.0 Oreo and compatible with Android P software update.
