Android One Smartphones: Ready to Debut, Inviting for September 15 Event

Google is finally all set to launch its Android One smartphone devices in India. Android One was introduced in Google I/O earlier with announcement of its debut in Indian market. And, it seems like the biggest tech giant is coming on September 15 as the invitation of the event has been sent out. It is expected that this event will bring Android One smartphones.

It was also planned that these devices will cost $100 and Karbonn, Micromax, and Spice will be partnered with Google to bring Android One smartphones in Indian market. However, few more Indian companies have also been added in the list since then. Android One smartphones count as the attempt of Redmond’s giant to expand its business in entry-level market.

This is near-stock Android software of Google to introduce in India. It is an effort of Company to bring an entry-level device for middle tier cities of India, while Moto E has been vanished the dream of Google by its high-end features with affordable price of Rs. 6,999. Earlier, it was announced to come in October but the event in September is contradicting the earlier announcement.

Company has plans to make this handset in the reach of 5 billion users of India. Android One smartphone will feature 4.5 inch screen and comes with dual SIM support. Not much information regarding its specs is known yet. Google itself is also tight-lipped. It is expected that Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice President, Android, Chrome and Apps at Google will also present in the event on September 15.
