Android P Beta Version Now Available on Pixel Smartphones

The user interface are coming very frequently, as Google has started rolling out the Android P beta version for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones ahead of the official launch that is expected to be debuted in the month of August.

The New Android P beta version could come with the Android Security Patch most probably in July 2018. Google Pixel owners who are running the public beta version on their Pixel gadgets must get the software update with July Android security patch on their smartphones. Dave Burke, Google’s VP of engineering wrote in a blog post, “ “beta 3 now takes us very close to what you’ll see in the final version of Android P, due later this summer.”

July Android security patch helps to resolve the latest bug issues and optimization for stability. With this, the developers are allowed to test their apps in their devices and must ensure that they are ready with the new release of Android P beta 3 version. An individual's who have already applied for Android P beta must cross-check for the software update under the settings section in their smartphone.

According to a blog post, The Android P beta 3 preview “includes the Beta 3 system images for Pixel devices and the Android Emulator, as well as an update to the Android Studio, build tools to include D8 as an independent tool.” The developers are entitled to test the apps on their smartphones only with targeted API 28.

The Android P beta 3 will come with a light and dark mode theme which automatically changes the background notification depending on the wallpaper. Under the light theme, the background notification will change into white color, whereas under the dark theme it has a black background. There are some changes we could see in the UI such as the back button comes with a back arrow and new volume bar used for calls.

The latest Android Operating System would get an Android dashboard feature which was announced at Google I/O earlier this year in May which provides information to the users relating to the smartphone usage.

It seems that dashboard feature would be available in the final version of Android P. However, so far the Google has not announced the final name of Android P’s software but looks like that it would be the version 9 of Android which has been confirmed from settings in the public and developer beta version.

Android P latest operating system would get support for the notch as well as new features which include smart notifications, improvements to battery life, a redesigned notifications shade and among others which would be operated by machine learning. Users who have Google Pixel, Pixel 2 gadgets could receive the Android P operating system on their smartphones. It is worth noting that the Nexus smartphone users would not get Android P.
