Apple set to rollout iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in India on October 16

Techno giant, Apple, by taking the feat of the festive season, has announced that it will launch the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus on October 16. This is the first ever iPhone to rollout in the Indian market, coming before less than a month just after the latest models became available globally.

Apple also claims that it will sellout over 13 million units of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus on the first three days of their availability by breaking the sales record of itself 10 million units, last year by iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The biggest competitors of the new iPhones in the Indian market will be Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+.

There is no increment in the screen size of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus as compared to the last year models. They have the display of 4.7-inch HD and 5.5-inch full HD respectively. But they are enabled with new 3-D Touch display technology.

Both the iPhones are operated on iOS 9 operating system and is powered by the new A9 processor, which is equipped with 2GB of RAM. The newly built iPhones will be available in 3 variants on the basis of storage:16,64,128GB but there is no support for microSD card storage expansions.

The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will be available in different color variants like Standard Silver, Space Gray, Gold and a new Rose Gold Hue.

On the camera front, it sports a 12MP camera at the rear side with dual-tone LED flash light and the front panel have 5MP shooter. The new handsets will be enabled with special camera feature, which converts the live photos into the short videos.

There is no official announcement for their price, but from the leaks it is expected that iPhone 6S will be priced at Rs.60,000 and iPhone 6S Plus will be priced at Rs.68,000.
