Archos Introduced Diamond Alpha, Diamond Gamma, Sense 55s, and Sense 50x Smartphones

After introducing a range of tablets and smartphones ahead of MWC 2017, Archos, the French smartphone manufacturer has now unveiled four new smartphones in its Sense and Diamond series. All of the four smartphones including the Diamond Alpha, Diamond Gamma, Sense 50x, and Sense 55s will be available in the European market from next month. Let us have a detailed information about the new offerings by the company.

First in the list is the Archos Diamond Alpha, which is the most expensive smartphone in the list and comes with a price tag of EUR 299 (Rs. 21,500 approx), after a cashback of EUR 50 (Rs. 3,600 approx). It is blessed with a sleek metal body and packs a fingerprint sensor at the rear side of it. The Android smartphone features a 5.2-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by a Snapdragon 652 Octa-core chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

Archos Diamond Alpha

The Dual-SIM smartphone is blessed with a dual camera setup at the rear side, which includes two 13-megapixel Sony IMX 286 sensors – one for RGB and one for monochrome. A 16-megapixel front shooter is also provided by the company, which also supports 4K video recording. Moreover, It is backed up by a 2950 mAh non-removable battery and include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi Direct as connectivity options.

Archos Diamond Gamma

Moving next to the list, we get the Archos Diamond Gamma, which doesn’t have any dual camera setup and comes with a price tag of EUR 199 (Rs. 14,300 approx). It features a fingerprint sensor housed underneath the home button. The GSM handset is blessed with a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is powered by the Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and includes a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

Archos Sense 55s

Moving next to the Sense series, we get our hands through the new Archos Sense 55s, which comes with a price tag of EUR 249 (Rs. 17,900 approx). It features a dual rear camera setup (including two 8-megapixel sensors) along with a fingerprint sensor at the rear side, but this time, the highlighting feature of the new smartphone is its borderless display, the only bezel left is at the bottom chin of it. Moreover, the device is blessed with a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It handset is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and packs 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded further via microSD card.

Archos Sense 50x

Last in the list is the Archos Sense 50x, which comes with a price tag of EUR 169 (Rs 12,100 approx). The handset is IP68 certified, which makes it capable of surviving underwater for up to 30 minutes. The device is undoubtedly introduced for rough and tough use, as it is resistant to scratches, dust, drops (up to 1 meter), and can work under a temperature from -20 degree Celsius to +55 degree Celsius. Furthermore, It flaunts a 5-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6737T chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The Archos Sense 50x is backed up by a massive 3500mAh battery.
