Blackberry DTEK50 - World's Most Secure Android Smartphone Get Unveiled Soon

Blackberry Inc. has been known among those companies whose products have been users favorite on almost all aspects. Also, the company has of late not revealed any product in the world after Blackberry Priv. However, the company now has after so many months unveiled a new Android-based handset at a quite cheaper price.

The new Android-based smartphone dubbed as the DTEK50 combines Alphabet's Inc. (a subsidiary of Google) popular software and broad app catalog with the Canadian company's security and other significant productivity features.

Chief Executive of Blackberry Inc. John Chen believes the new handset will surely sell in large numbers across the globe, unlike Blackberry Priv whose sales got tremendous blow due to its high price rates.

In terms of specifications, the new Blackberry DTEK50 will feature a 5.2-inch touchscreen display and would be made available across certain regions that include the names of US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and The Netherlands. The company claims it to be "the world's most secure Android smartphone," as it will notify the users if someone gets unauthorized access to its camera, microphone or even location.

The smartphone has been priced at USD299 (nearly Rs 20,000) and is available on a pre-order basis from company's official online store. Though the company has not given any information the availability of the product, but it is expected that the handset will be made available for purchase via Best Buy Co Inc, Amazon.com Inc and BlackBerry's own online store. Whereas, Canada's biggest wireless carriers will be given the responsibility of selling the device.

A random analyst at the International Data Corp. John Jackson stated, "This is a good marriage of proposition and price point for enterprises. The lack of specific detail on operator channels outside Canada says that there's still no path to massive volumes."

John Chen is confident on the fact that trimming of price rates and handset business will surely turn the profit by a self-imposed September deadline especially when few analysts talk otherwise. The company also stopped the production of its Classic handset just a few weeks back which came featured with Blackberry's own Blackberry 10 operating system.
