The South Korea based Conglomerate Corporation, Samsung has partnerships with Indian online marketing website, FlipKart to launch Galaxy S5 mini Duos in native marketplace. In the pursuance of Techolic, this domestic e-commerce giant has released a poster for the forthcoming device on its Facebook page alongside a tagline, which says “Style goes hand-in-hand with substance Compact design, Stunning processor.”
Apparently, firm had first-promulgated this dual-SIM variant smartphone in early-July. Now, it would eventually arrive as a Flipkart exclusive in native mobile phone space. It is identical to its single SIM-variant Galaxy S5 Mini, due to its color variants as well as the availability of heart-rate monitor and fingerprint scanner. Apart from this, it also incorporates some additional sensors such as a digital compass, proximity, ambient light, gyro and accelerometer.
Hashing out some specs and features of the upcoming handset, Galaxy S5 Mini is fitted with IP67 certification to make the device water and dust repellent. The connectivity support for Samsung's wearable devices makes it full-fledged sibling of S5. It is power packed with the quad-core processor that is clocked at 1.4GHz operating frequency, but the chipset is still unspecified.
As per the sources, the device is decked with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash alongside a 2.1-megapixel selfie snapper. It comprises a 2100mAh battery and arrayed with Android 4.4 KitKat, which is wrapped under the brand's TouchWiz UI. However, it will hit the ledges of online portal with its 4.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display along with 131.1x64.8x9.1mm dimension and weighing of 120 grams.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone will not make sullen to its prospective purchasers because it confers IR Remote, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GLONASS and 3G options. Furthermore, it is coupled with 1.5GB of RAM alongside the inbuilt storage of 16GB, which you can expand up to 64GB through a microSD card.
Notably, this is not the first time, when Flipkart scores exclusivity on a high-profile device, if you take a peek on the tidings of February, the retailer did the same exercise with Motorola’s budget-friendly Moto G. Besides all, there is still no word on the pricing of smartphone and it is yet-to-be cleared whether Galaxy S5 Mini Duos will be available via physical retailer or not.
