Gionee Launched S6 With 3GB RAM At Rs. 19,999

Gionee has launched its much-awaited metal-clad smartphone in the Indian Market, dubbed as an S6 smartphone. Although the smartphone is listed on the company's shopping website with a tag of "coming soon" with a price tag of Rs. 19,999. The company had already launched the smartphone in China last year.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 270*1280 pixels and for the protection, it is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the dual SIM (Micro+Nano) enabled smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. The device is running on Amigo 3.1 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

On the photography front, the smartphone houses a 13-megapixel autofocus camera at the rear end with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The camera features a night mode, panorama mode, magic focus, burst mode, HDR, and GIF mode. It has a 32GB of native storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSd card slot expansion.

For the connectivity S6 includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS, 4G LTE (including Band 40 and VoLTE), USB OTG and USB Type-C (2.0) connectivity. It is backed by a 3150mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 18 hours of talk time and is measuring a 151.9x74.6x6.9mm, weighs 148 grams. The handset will be available in Gold, Rose, and Silver color variants and includes sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, motion sensor and gyroscope.
