Gionee, a Chinese smartphone giant has come up with their new models in its line of products. A random event held in the Capital on Tuesday saw the release of both the new smartphones namely M6 and M6 Plus, incorporating the latest data encryption chip inside them.
The said chips are provided for extra safety towards the user data and content. Sadly, the global variant of the handset will only possess fingerprint sensors. As per reports, the Android smartphones will be made available for purchase from August 6 and August 13, 2016.
The price tags that have been enlisted in the reports confirm the Gionee M6 price to be around CNY 2699 (nearly INR 27,200) and CNY 2899 (INR 29,200) for 64GB and 128GB variants, whilst Gionee M6 Plus has been valued for nearly CNY 2999 (INR 30,200) and CNY 3199 (INR 32,200) for its both 64GB and 128GB variants.
The highlighting factor of both the GSM-handsets is the presence of data encryption chips in them whose major working is to protect the devices against the malware, securing IM communication content from getting decrypted.
The Gionee M6 operates on Android Marshmallow-based Amigo 3.5 OS running on 64-bit 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor combined with 4GB RAM. It further comes with a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display 2.5D curved glass protection and 100% NTSC gamut that gives a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a pixel density of 401ppi.
The camera has a 13 Megapixel shooter in the back with PDAF and LED flash along with 8 Megapixel in a front panel. It is backed by a huge 5000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 33 days of standby time along with 6.4 hours of video playback and 55 hours of uninterrupted calling. While the company is making facts that M6 can be fully charged in two hours with its fast charging technology and another noticeable feature is fingerprint scanner which is embedded on home button in the front. Connection options are 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth, WLAN, USB OTG, and Micro-USB port. Dimensionally, it is measuring a 152.3×75.3x 8.2mm and weighs 180grams.
Gionee M6 Plus is the bigger sibling of the M6 having all the features same apart from a 6-inch FHD AMOLED display having a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It is loaded with a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and 8-megapixel in the front. While the battery is tuned to 6020 mAh and is measuring a 160.5×80.6×8.2mm and weighs 215 gram.
Both M6 and M6 Plus variants are available in Champagne Gold and Mocha Gold color variant for purchase.
