Gionee, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm has all set to launch its selfie-focused smartphone under its latest S series dubbed as Gionee S6S. The company has just posted a teaser image on its official Twitter account, which claims that it will bring a 'Premium Selfie'. Gionee will likely to Launch Selfie-Centered Smartphone on August 22 in New Delhi, India for which the invites have already been sent out.
Earlier, the company had launched the two new smartphones Gionee S6 and S6 Pro under the S series. The Gionee S6S is the third smartphone. However, the company has not revealed any features and price details of the smartphone. But some of the specifications are listed on the Zauba.

According to the sources, the upcoming smartphone Gionee S6S has comes with a metal unibody design and features 2.5D curved glass. It flaunts a 5.5-inch display having a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. The GSM-based handset is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6753) processor with Mali T-720 GPU coupled with 3GB of RAM.
As for the storage, the handset is blessed with a 32GB of internal storage, that can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot expansion. On the software front, the dual SIM based device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Amigo 3.2 UI on top out of the box. The handset is loaded with a 13-megapixel camera at the rear end with LED flash and PDAF along with an 8-megapixel front facing camera accompanied with LED flash for better selfies and video calling.
Now moving towards the connectivity features, the new Gionee S6S bolsters with hybrid dual SIM, 4G LTE, 2G/3G, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack, Bluetooth 4.0, and a micro USB port. It is expected that the smartphone will be available in three color variants i.e Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver colors.
