Honor 6A Goes Official with Android Nougat and Snapdragon 430 SoC

Huawei Mobile maker has launched Honor 6A smartphone at the event on Tuesday. The Honor 6A is a budget smartphone that has been featured with a fingerprint sensor and full-metal unibody. The smartphone will start selling from 1st June at Vmall.com and JD.com retail sites. It will be available in two storage capacity variants i.e., 2GB Ram/ 16GB Inbuilt Storage and 3GB RAM/ 32GB Inbuilt Storage priced at CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 7,500) and CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 9,400) respectively. The smartphone comes up with a Gold, Silver, Blue, and Pink colours. 

The Honor 6A Colour Variant


From the specification front, the Honor 6A sports dual- sim along with 4G VoLTE support. The smartphone runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC Processor, whereas Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at 1.2GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at 1.7GHz. It is equipped with 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. In terms of Graphic, the smartphone houses an Adreno 505 GPU. As we already mentioned above, the Honor 6A will be available in two storage variants. The storage can be extended further (up to 128GB) via microSD card.

In terms of optics, The Honor 6A blessed with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 28mm 5P lens and a 5-megapixel front facing a camera. Full-HD video recording, PDAF, and dual-LED flash are some of the highlighting features of rear side camera. The fingerprint scanner will be placed below the camera at the back of the smartphone. The company claims that it will unlock the phone just 0.5 seconds.

The Honor 6A is powered by a 3020mAh battery under the hood which is expected to deliver 12 hours of video playback or 57 hours of music playback on a single charge. It measures and weighs 43.7x70.95x8.2mm and 143 grams respectively. From the connectivity options, it includes GPS, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), GLONASS, Bluetooth (v4.1) and 4G VoLTE support.
