Huawei sub-brand Honor on Thursday unveiled its latest smartphone Honor 9 Lite in China. The smartphone will go on sale on 26 December in China and will be later released in 14 countries including India, Russia, and the UK. The smartphone comes with 5.65-inch 18:9 IPS display, dual cameras on both the front as well as the rear and it runs Android 8.0 Oreo based EMUI 8.0.
The Honor 9 Lite is available in three variants – 32GB variants with 3GB and 4GB RAM, and a 64GB variant with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with a price tag of 1,199 Yuan (approx. Rs 11,667) for 3GB RAM + 32GB onboard storage option, while the 4GB RAM + 32GB of storage is priced at 1,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 14,586) and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at 1,799 Yuan (approx. Rs 17,506). The device will come four color variants i.e.:- Navy Blue, Seagull Gray, Magic Nightfall and Pearl White.
Honor 9 Lite sports a 5.65-inch full-HD+ display with the resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC clocked at 2.36GHz and it runs on EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Coming to the camera the Honor 9 Lite comes with the dual camera setups on both the front and back, the handset sports a 13-megapixel primary sensor, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensors. The rear camera comes with PDAF autofocus, apart from LED flash. The Honor 9 Lite offers with either 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage depending on the variant, both of which are expandable up to 256GB via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery, which Honor claims can deliver up to 20 hours of talktime on 3G.
For the connectivity options on the Honor 9 Lite include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB with OTG support. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer (digital compass), and proximity sensor.The device also carry a fingerprint sensor at the back panel. It measures 151x71.9x7.6mm, and weighs 149 grams.
