HTC, the Taiwanese consumer electronics company has launched its first blockchain smartphone on 23rd October, dubbed as HTC Exodus 1. The company made the announcement regarding the development of Blockchain phone earlier this year in the month of May.
The company has introduced the Exodus 1 with new technology. The smartphone will be available on the basis of ‘first come first serve’. HTC claims that Blockchain phone comes with a secure enclave, trusted UI, social key recovery and more.
One must note that, HTC has developed its own cryptocurrency wallet, termed as Zion.
The attractions of HTC Exodus 1 has a 6-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, dual cameras and more. HTC stated in a press release, "Genesis Block. Exodus Phone.

One must note that the HTC Exodus 1 will be available for purchase in cryptocurrency, Ethereum and Bitcoin. The prospective buyers can pre-order the blockchain phone at a price of 0.15 Bitcoins or 4.78 Ethereum tokens which roughly converts into Rs 75,000.
However, the cryptocurrency rates are changing very rapidly, the conversion rates might vary.
It is anticipated that the deliveries of Exodus 1 will start from December. As of now, it is not confirmed whether it will be available in the Indian market or not, as the Indian government is opposing for the cryptocurrency.
HTC Exodus 1 features a 6-inch QHD+ display along with 18:9 aspect ratio. As a part of the software, it runs on Android Oreo Operating System. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
For photography, the HTC Exodus 1 packs dual 12MP+16MP cameras on the rear panel. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone has an 8MP dual camera which is capable to record 4K video.
The Exodus 1 supports 4G VoLTE and single-SIM (Nano). It packs a 3,500mAh battery bundled with HTC Rapid Charger 3.0 which charge the device quickly.
For audio enhancements, it has been equipped with HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition and HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation. The blockchain phone is certified with an IP68 rating which protect the device from water and dust particles.
