HTC U Ultra Available in India at Rs 59,990

HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturing firm has launched its U Ultra smartphone in February 2017. The handset is now available to purchase via the HTC India Store with a price tag of Rs 59,990. The company also introduced U Play along with U Ultra, which will go on sale in Mid-March.

The Android smartphone will be available only in Blue and Black colour variants across the country. The highlighting feature of both of the latest smartphone of the company is their Sense Companion feature, which is an AI based system that learns users daily usage of applications and options to give recommendations and friendly advice. The Sense Companion on U Ultra also shows important alerts and notifications on the second ‘ticker-style’ display, which is also known as the priority screen.

Concerning the specifications, the Dual-SIM U Ultra smartphone features a 5.7-inch QHD super LCD display of resolution 1440 X 2650 pixels along with a secondary 2-inch display of resolution 1040 X 160 pixels. Powering the device is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. HTC U Ultra is available in 64GB and 128GB of inbuilt memory variants, which can be expanded further up to 2TB via microSD card. The display of the 64GB variant smartphone is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 while the 128GB variant screen is protected by Sapphire glass.

The optical part of the GSM handset includes a 12-Ultrapixel rear camera along with 1.55-micron pixels, a BSI sensor, laser + phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilisation, a f/2.8 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. A 16-megapixel front camera with an UltraPixel mode and a BSI sensor has also been provided by the company for selfie enthusiasts. Connectivity options of the device include 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, DLNA, Miracast, HTC Connect, and USB 3.1 Type-C.

Moreover, the smartphone packs a fingerprint sensor embedded at the Home Button HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio support, and a 3D Audio recording support with 4 microphones. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery along with Quick Charge 3.0 and is capable of delivering up to 26 hours of talk time and up to 13 days of standby time.
