HTC U11 Appears on Official India Website: Hinting at Near Future Launch

HTC, the well-known Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer seems to introduce its flagship smartphone soon in India. The company has showcased its brand new HTC U11 on its India website, which hints at the imminent launch of the handset. Moreover, a tipster named LlabTooFeR has also claimed that the 6GB RAM, 128GB storage smartphone of the company will make its way to eight more markets alongside India. Interestingly, the company has listed both 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage variants on the India site, but that can be changed ahead of the launch.

The company has still not revealed the launch date and pricing details of the handset but the listing shows that it is soon going to be unveiled in India. The device has already made its debut in Taiwan last month, and one of the highlighting features of the handset is its Edge Sense feature, which claims to offer a completely new way of interaction with the device.

LlabTooFeR, a prolific tipster, who has an amazing track record with HTC leaks, has claimed that the new Android smartphone will make its way to nine countries including China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines. The tipster also claimed that these nine countries will get the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant of the handset.

The Dual-SIM smartphone will be made available in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red colour options in the promised countries. The smartphone has been priced at EUR 749 (Rs. 53,000 approx) for Europe, and USD 749 (Rs 48,000 approx) in the US, where it is already up for pre-bookings. Some of the highlighting features of the smartphone include the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, its liquid surface design, and multiple AI assistants.

In term of specifications, the HTC U11 GSM handset is blessed with a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super LCD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with the company's HTC Sense skin on top and is powered by 2.45GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with either 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage or 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage. The inbuilt memory of the smartphone can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

The optical part of the smartphone includes a 12-megapixel rear camera with ultra-spread autofocus, BSI sensor, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, slow-motion, and 4K video recording. Additional camera features of the handset include Face Detection, Pro mode with manual control, 32-second long exposure, and RAW format support, HDR Boost, Panorama, and Hyperlapse. A 16-megapixel front shooter with BSI sensor and full-HD recording capability is also provided by the company for selfie enthusiasts. Backed up by a 3000mAh battery along with a support of Quick Charge 3.0, the HTC U11 is blessed with IP67 certification for water and dust resistance and supports two AI assistants - Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa (in specific regions only).
